A LEGACY OF GENEROUS LOVE
A community honoring estate gifts that strengthen Episcopal congregations, the Diocese, and Episcopal institutions.
FOUNDED IN 2012
The Society of Miriam was founded by the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago to encourage, acknowledge, and celebrate gifts made as part of an estate plan for the benefit of any Episcopal congregation, the Diocese, or an Episcopal institution.
The Society’s name was inspired by noted Chicago philanthropist Miriam Hoover and her lifelong commitment to serving those in need. Members are celebrated at an annual gathering with our bishop.
Telling the Diocese about your intention does not make the gift irrevocable, and you do not need to disclose its value. It simply gives us the opportunity to thank you and keep our records aligned with your wishes.
MEMBERSHIP
You may be eligible if you have named the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago in any of the following ways.
